Beyoncé turns up the heat in the steamy black-and-white visual for her single "Rocket". The song was written by Miguel, Justin Timberlake together with Timbaland, Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon and Beyoncé who also produced it. The slowtempo track fuses Beyoncé's soft sensual vocals with elements of soul, funk and R&B and is featured on the superstar's self-titled fifth studio album, released on December 13, 2013 via Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records as well its reissue 'BEYONCÉ: Platinum Edition', released on November 24, 2014. Both the song and its visual companion showcase the 33-year-old singer's confidence and sexuality after becoming a mother. The orgastic music video was directed by Beyoncé in collaboration with Ed Burke and Bill Kirstein and was filmed at Hudson Studio and elsewhere around The Standard hotel in Manhattan. The creative effort makes numerous references to climaxing with explosive fire scenes that represent rockets and showers as waterfalls. The clip features various close-up shots of Beyoncé writhing on a bed dressed in sexy lingerie, taking a shower interspersed as well as lighting up a cigarette atop a car.
